“The Night of the Shooting Stars” is a jagged, amazing film, both breathtaking and satisfying at times. Made by the brothers Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, “Shooting Stars” has a twinkling. That said, I must also say that in The Night of the Shooting Stars the Taviani brothers' gave us one of the best films in Italy's cinematic history.

A beautifully humane presentation of Italy's terrible ordeal whenMussolini had fallen, Fascists were retreating, and the allies were pushing the Nazi forces northward along the Italian boot.

This is a collection of three films made by the Taviani brothers in the 70's and 80's. Of the three, The Night of the Shooting Stars is one of my all-time favorite films from Italian cinema.

Each of these stars is believed to grant one wish. In this celebrated film by Italy's Taviani brothers, a woman asks for the words to tell her son about that same night during the last days of World War II.

The Nazis occupied Italy and the. There is also a great film by the Taviani brothers. ‘La notte di San Lorenzo.’ Or in English, ‘The Night of the Shooting Stars’. THE NIGHT OF THE SHOOTING STARS (the original Italian title is LA NOTTE DI SAN LORENZO) is so good it's thrilling.

This new film by Vittorio and Paolo Taviani (who made the PADRE PADRONE) encompasses a vision of the world. Comedy, tragedy, vaudeville, melodrama—they're all.
